JAY-Z’s “4:44” Is Already Certified Platinum

At this moment in time, it’s Jay-Z’s world and the rest of us are just living in it. Every day since the release of his new album 4:44, there’s something new happening with the project.

Less than a week since its release, Jay’s new album is already platinum. The RIAA has announced that Hov’s 13th studio album has officially reached platinum status off streams alone at this point since physical the album not yet available to purchase.

That’s an even bigger than you think considering the album has only been available on his own platform Tidal. Additionally, the album was first only available to stream to Sprint customers or if you had subscribed to the service before midnight on release day.

Oh, and did we mention that the album is also now free?
