Another week, another win for Meek Mill, last week Meek surprised a lot of people when he top the charts with his sophomore album “Dreams Worth More Than Money” than many. Early reports had the rapper moving 216 thousand units be later on the numbers were roughly 250,000 units.
This week the Meek holds down the number one spot once again.
According to the Billboard, Meek Mill remains on top of the charts with “Dreams Worth More Than Money” as the LP has moved around 61,000 units between July 6th and July 9th, contributing to a grand total of 307,000 units in the 11-day frame ending July 9th. In addition, Billboard broke down the shift in sales tracking. Remember: Nielsen Music now calculates sales Friday through Thursday, instead of the traditional Monday through Sunday.
Since the album release dates have changed from Tuesdays to Fridays, the original numbers from last week weren’t in the beginning, below is a breakdown has changed due to this new global album release date.
- Last week’s Billboard 200 (dated July 18th) was the final chart to use the Monday through Sunday tracking frame (week ending July 5th).
- Next week’s Billboard 200 (dated August 1st) will be the first to use Friday through Thursday tracking frame (week ending July 16 data).
- This week’s Billboard 200 (dated July 25th) acts as a transition chart between the two different tracking cycles, and reflects a one-time only 11-day sales tracking frame (ending July 9th).
