The Unruly boss Popcaan’s “Where We Come From” is still in full rotation in the whip and crib, we already named it the best Dancehall album of 2014, but it’s time for new music. Popcaan returns today with a new track accompanied by a new visual as well.
The track is called “Unruly Prayer” and was produced by Dinearo.
The RD Studios directed music video features a few cameos including the likes of Drake, P Reign and the rest of the OVO click.
It might not be noticeable to many yet but ever since the reemergence of Reggae to the forefront of Jamaican music, more and more of the original Dancehall artists have been getting more conscious with their music. Popcaan and Aidonia are two of the most notable that have been making that change, not abandoning their Dancehall style but just adding more traditional style Reggae to it while giving it a new era style.
