This is the first part of the tar Wars Anthology series, the spin off film of J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens is directed by Gareth Edwards. It’s based around a group of Rebel fighters and their mission to steal plans for the Death Star.
Although it’s a spin off from The Force Awakens and share the same timeline, it pre-dates it and even episode 4.
