There seems to be some life left in the Murder Inc. brand, Irv Gotti is planning an official biopic TV series for the record label, Ja Rule has a new reality show and now Irv pops up Complex TV to open up on how he fought for DMX to have a career at Def Jam.
He recalls Jay Z, Dame Dash and Lyor Cohen not believing in DMX in the beginning, that’s until “Get At Me Dog” flooded the streets, which changed the mood in the landscape of Rap music in 1998.
Check out the brief clip of Irv taking a trip down memory lane.
