FORBES: Wealthiest Hip-Hop Earners 2015

Sean "Diddy" Combs Appears At Wet Republic

Once again Diddy delivers on his promise of “Can’t stop won’t stop” by topping the Forbes list for another year. He continues to see immense returns from Diageo’s Ciroc vodka, Sean John of course, his Aquahydrate waterbrand and the rising music network REVOLT to see his value rise to $725 million.

Dr. Dre

Many expected that Dr. Dre was going to be a billion after Beats by Dre was acquired by to Apple for 3.8 billion last year, from which he profited $200 million. The rest of that money went to Jimmy Iovine pretty much.

Jay-Z

Jay Z remained the number 3 placeholder seeing his wealth raise by $20 million – highlighted by the launch of his music streaming service TiDAL and the obvious Roc Nation empire.

50 Cent 01
50 Cent is at 4th place and has remained in the top 5 ever since his Vitaminwater deal in 2008. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him higher on this list in the future with ventures that include SMS headphones, SMS Promotions, Effen vodka and Frigo underwear and of course his ventures in film.

Birdman took a slight dip this year (down from $160 million and the No. 4 slot in 2014) mirrors the value of his label Cash Money, which has been dogged by rumors of the departure of big acts including superstar Lil Wayne, not to mention on going lawsuits regarding royalties not paid to past acts.
