No more debates about whether or not Floyd is the best….Please, it’s a ridiculous topic.
Anything naysayers have to say is guaranteed to be coming from a place personal bias and dislike of Mayweather the person not Mayweather the athlete.
Discussing the latter would be absurd, for the simple fact that the statistics already tell the whole story. Stats are great, you know why?
They’re not controversial, debatable or up for speculation. Stats are facts and facts – well they don’t have two sides. Period!
And please spare me the whole “the drama is in the details” bullshit, no one cares.
Last night none of us got the fight we thought we were going to see. The fight we saw though was exactly what we deserved, for thinking for the last 6 years that this would somehow be the fight of all fights, it wasn’t even close.
In fact, it doesn’t even fall into Mayweather’s or Pacquiao’s top 10 best fights.
The Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao lead up was the biggest thing in boxing history but the fight itself doesn’t even come close to anything that can be considered one of the greatest fights of all time.
What we saw last night was yet another fighter in the form of Manny Pacquiao who many believed would crack the Mayweather code fail miserably; like all the others.
He started out as expected by winning the first few rounds for the simple fact that he was busier. As expected by the time round 5 had arrived Floyd began to make adjustments, after that it was just another day at the office for him.
In the end the fight wasn’t even good enough to garner a rematch, so much for the super fight of this era.
One thing is for certain though, Floyd is the best of this era. Please stop talking about whether or not he is, that’s not a real conversation.
Just let it go.
